What are Goldbacks?

Goldbacks are a modern 24K gold currency. Their intrinsic value fights inflation, protecting your wealth. Their fractional form makes it possible to spend physical gold on everyday transactions. Created in regional series, Goldbacks support individuals, empower independent businesses, and strengthen local communities.

Goldbacks are created with patented technology that atomizes 24-karat gold down to 1/4000th of an ounce. The gold is then layered between two polymer sheets. The result is a physical currency

Why Goldbacks?

For generations, gold ownership has been associated with large bullion bars locked away in vaults — impressive to look at, but unrealistic for everyday people and impractical for daily use. Goldbacks challenge that idea entirely by presenting gold in a form that is both accessible and usable, with denominations that better reflect the value of ordinary purchases and necessities.

Their appeal goes beyond practicality alone. Each Goldback note is carefully designed with intricate artwork and layered with pure gold, creating something that feels as much like a collectible work of art as it does a financial instrument. Physical gold is most commonly viewed as a traditional investment or hedge against inflation, Goldbacks have opened the door for a wider audience to participate in gold ownership. In doing so, they have also encouraged more people to reconsider the role gold can play in preserving value over time.

Across several states in their country of origin, Goldbacks are already being accepted as legal tender, providing an alternative to fiat currency and the long-term effects of inflation on spending power. Their continued adoption highlights a growing interest in practical, fractional gold ownership rather than gold that simply sits in storage.

Whether appreciated for their beauty, collectability, or potential utility, Goldbacks offer a modern and distinctive approach to owning gold. This has led to a upsurge in interest throughout the United States.
